Jerome Zoning Ordinance and Planning Commission
History and Purpose
The Jerome Village Board passed the Zoning Ordinance on May 19, 1962. Its primary purpose is to conserve the taxable value of land and buildings throughout the Village.

- Reconstruction
- Alteration
- Use of buildings, structures, and land (residential and commercial)
Building Permits
Residents must obtain a permit before starting any work that alters the use of land or buildings in the Village. This includes:
- Construction
- Alterations to land or structures
To apply:
- Obtain a Building Permit Application form from the Village office
- Submit the form with a plan drawing
- Pay a moderate fee
